Window Layout of Jim

When Jim starts, you are presented with an image display window that is used to display and manipulate images.

The main control groups are:

• Menus. Load, import and save images. Change the colour mapping of images. Free zoom control. Image analysis toolkits.
• Image display area. Shows the currently loaded image.
• Image contrast controls. Alters the brightness and contrast of the displayed image.
• Display layout controls. Sets how many image slices are shown in the display area.
• Slice paging controls. Step through the image slices.
• Image magnification controls. Magnify and pan the image.
• Status bar. Displays helpful messages from Jim.
• Exit button. Quits Jim.

Your first task will be to load an image into Jim.
